1. Overview
Linux Command Simulator is an educational terminal simulator. The app is designed to let users practice Linux-style commands in a virtual environment on their own device.
2. Data We Access or Collect
- The app does not require account creation or sign-in.
- The app does not request dangerous Android runtime permissions.
- The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal or sensitive user data with Sphinx Dev servers.
- The app does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in its current version.
3. Local Device Storage
To preserve the learning experience between sessions, the app stores limited app state locally on the user's device. This may include terminal command history, virtual file system state, current working directory, and session progress.
This information is stored locally for app functionality only and is not uploaded to Sphinx Dev by the app.
4. How Data Is Used
- To restore the user's terminal lab state
- To keep the learning experience consistent across app launches
- To support the core simulator functionality
5. Data Sharing
The app itself does not share user-created terminal content or local session data with third parties. If users access Google Play or platform services, those services may process operational data under their own policies.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on the device until the user clears the app data or uninstalls the app. Sphinx Dev does not maintain a remote server copy of this local simulator state.
7. Security
The app stores its local state inside the app's private storage on the device. No method can guarantee absolute security, but the app is designed to minimize data handling by keeping simulator data local where possible.
8. Children's Privacy
The app is intended for general educational use and does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app itself.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if new features are added or the way the app operates changes. When that happens, the updated version will be published on this page along with the latest revision date.
